My interest for the media first began in school, where I took 'Media Studies' as a GCSE, I then enrolled onto a course at college named 'Media Moving Image'. It was on this course where I found out just how strong my love for the media really is. During this two year course, I began to see where my stregnths are; pre production, camera work and also the academic side. We were given sixteen modules throughout the two years, all to work to a set brief, (however in some cases we were creative and made our own), and as a result of this I produced many films, such as animation, shrot film's, promotional video's and single camera drama's. It was here in which I knew I needed to keep progressing with my skills and put them to better use, therefore I have now enrolled onto this vast particular course here at LJMU.
I have many interests in the media to date, however I thorughouly enjoy documentary work, reasearching and pre producing. The organisational side to a film, I feel, really appeals to me as I like to know whats what and making sure the team know's exactly what it is that we should be focusing on at each point. As a consumer of the media, I take it upon myself to watch TV on demand by watching BBC Iplayer and Channel 4 OD and in these I usually do view documentaries. The way in which the media has progressed is so vast and constantly changing, every day. I want to be a part of this now and in the future, therefore I am now on this three year journey to discover exactly where it is I want to be, and I cant wait....
Heres a small snippet of a couple of films I produced/directed back in college...
